Endometritis & metritis
Alternative treatment
The Bioveem project in the Netherlands did research on different alternative treatment on 17 farms. See 'the Bioveem project report', in Dutch and the 'Homeopathie Stalkaart bij koeien' (also in Dutch).
The disease is not easy because it has interfaces with placenta problems and fertility problems. Herbs that are proved as good support in metritis (also in the Netherlands, found out in the Bioveem project) are described in the table at the end of this chapter, extracts of these are used in ready-made products are given in the table and texts below.

Adherolyse – Agrapharm
Homeopathic veterinary medicine stimulates the initiation of birth, drifting from the placenta and prevents and cures metritis. Edited the contraction of the uterus and the expansion of the cervix. Adherolyse 975 injection is often used in combination with afterbirth capsules. Adherolyse 975 consists of a complex of four substances that reinforce each other. This injection contains Actea racernosa, Aletris farniosa, Echinacea and Solidago and prevents and cures uterine inflammation and drives the afterbirth off. Bronscur – Simicur Added to the diet Bronscur provides a healthy and normal hormone balance and condition of the female genitalia. Therefore, Bronscur can be used in an abnormal cycle (too little or too heavy), infertility, inflammation of uterus and / or ovaries and cystic changes in the ovaries. Disorders of the female reproductive organs may manifest abnormal cycle (too often and for too long in heat, or absence of oestrous/heat) by disorders of the ovaries, or uterus inflammation. Such disorders are generally associated with aberrant behavior and/or spillages. Bronscur administered by the feed has a regulatory effect on the function of the ovaries, and an anti-inflammatory activity on the uterus. Bronscur normalizes the cycle and bring cows within a few weeks in. Active ingredients in Bronscur are Viburnum opulus D4, Pulsatilla pratensis D6, Cyclamen europaeum and Sepia officinalis D12. Herbafert – Herbavita The liquid herb mixture named helps implantation of the cell. Provides a higher percentage of initial coverage. Hormeel – Heel Use in case of white discharge, pyometra, (chronic) endometritis, inflammation vagina/uterus. With the active ingredients Viburnum opulus D4, Pulsatilla pratensis D6, Cyclamen europaeum and Sepia officinalis D12. Pyrogenium – Eco-style Pyrogenium is a homeopathic remedy (not registered medicine) is used in fever, mastitis, metritis, foot rot and others. The composition of Pyrogenium activates the production of white blood cells, causing the body to overcome the infection itself. Start Pyrogenium once the ignition is detected. Pyrogen is made by exposing pieces of lean beef in water to sunlight for 2-3 weeks until thoroughly decomposed. The resultant mixture is then broiled twice and potentised. Medical herbs in metritis |
